What do I have?
How can I use it?
How can I relate this to myself/others?

This is my body, I have weather veins. They are especially sensitive to dust storms and hurricanes. When I am nervous, my teeth chatter like a wheel barrel collecting rain. I am rusty when I talk, it’s the storm in me.
Balint Bolygo- Trace
—Research Responses:
Balint Bolygo- I really am interested in this piece. I find mechanic work to be fascinating, because I’ve never really been able to master the tinkering part of creating something that moves on it’s own. The concept is illustrated beautifully with this piece, and the work it creates is visually stimulating and beautiful. I’m really interested in this type of work, and may try something like this for my project.
The History of Eating Utensils/Antiques/Flickr/Ancient Tattoo Tools- I never really thought about the history of these utensils. I think that it’s interesting to realize how many tools we actually do use in our daily life, and how many tools have been created to make our lives easier or more entertaining.
Plaster Projects in Process
5/2012
—Research Responses:
Dawn Lippiatt- The pairing of the hard black steel beds, with the small plaster fox is very intimate for me. How she composed the installation in a white concrete room is very effective, and portrays emotion very well.
Anne Mourier- great skill with the material! I wish i would have used casts in my pieces.
Plaster and Steel- meh. slugs.
Plaster Intaglios- also an effective method of plaster-art making. If I work with plaster again, I would like to try working with some sort of cast or mold.
